Guide to Setting up Geofence
This guide provides you with easy steps on how to set up a GeoFence around important locations. This allows you to receive a notification on your mobile app or web app when a vehicle enters/leaves a certain location.
Step 1
Go to your profile and press on the icon next to your selected name in the system. A drop
down will appear and from the drop down select the option “Geofence Manager”.
Step 2
Another page will open where you need to click the button “Add New” in the field for
“Geofence Manager”
Step 3
A new menu will appear below the “Geofence Manager” field. A new menu will appear

Geofence Name : Add name for the new GeoFence that you wish to create

Category: Select the category for the new GeoFence from the defined options from the system. To select the option, simply click on one of the available choices from
the drop down menu.

Connector: Select the desired connector for your vehicle; if you only have one
connector, then that connector will be selected by default. If not, locate it from the dropdown. Hint! You can click on the “Locate” button to locate the desired vehicle and display it on the map

Search field: Instead of positioning the GeoFence over the current position of the vehicle, you can type in an address in the “Search Address” field and click “Search”.

The last step is to set up a Radius for your GeoFence. Simply drag one of the four white anchor points of the GeoFence, or drag the slider handle to the right/left.
Step 4
After adding all the desired settings, press the button “Save” to save the newly created
“Geofence”. To cancel all the changes, press the button “Cancel”.

How to create an Alert for GeoFences
Step 1
Go to your profile and press on the icon next to your selected name in the system. A drop down will appear and from the drop down select the option “Notification Manager”.
Step 2
Another page will open where you need to click the button “Add New” in the field for
“Notification Manager”
Step 3
A new menu will appear below the “Notification Manager” field.
1. Connector: Select the desired connector for your vehicle; if you only have one connector, then that connector will be selected by default. If not, locate it from the drop down.

Alert Type: Choose an Alert Type from the dropdown list. You now have to choose either “GeoFence In” or “GeoFence Out” alert type.

After choosing “GeoFence In” or “GeoFence Out” alert type, you need to select a specific GeoFence which you have previously created in the GeoFence page.

Subscription and Notification type: Next you need to choose Notification Type. The options are:

Subscribe this is to receive alerts on the web app

Mobile Push Notifications this allows you to receive alerts on the mobile
applications

Primary Email to receive alerts on your account email

Secondary Email to receive alerts on a different email account (this has to
have previously been entered in your profile and you change the secondary
email by pressing the button “Edit”)
You can make any desired combination of where to receive alerts

Step 4
After adding all the desired settings, press the button “Save” to save the newly created
“Notification”. To cancel all the changes, press the button “Cancel”.
Your Notification for Geofence has been created
